Karol Tibba Trek (Dhedghrat)

Maa Kaali Temple at Karol Tibba Karol Tibba is least explore area located near Solan town. It is surrounded by forest. It is the highest peak in the town of Solan. The trek has a lot to offer within a single day which would be etched in your memories for a long time. Karol Tibba is located at an altitude of 2440 metres from the sea level. It is a single day break near Solan. Trek starts from Dedghrat. Dadghrat is 13 km from Solan and 33 km from Shimla. There is a temple at the peak dedicated to the Goddess Maa Kaali. Duration - 1 Day Altitude - 2440 metres from sea level Difficulty - 4/10 Along with Trek, we can see the famous Pandavas  Gufa/cave, which is the oldest and the longest cave in the Himalayas. This cave starts from this place and end at Pinjore (Chandigarh). Giriganga (Jubbal)

Snow in Giriganga

 Giri Ganga is  located in Pabbar valley .This place has green pastures and medows amidst deodar cover. It has temples which dates back to BC period. Surrounded by the thick deodar jungles, 100% pure peace awaits you here. You suddenly feel like meditating to rise above mortality. In winters, this entire space is filled with snow. An overwhelmingly peaceful place, very highly recommended by us if you are seeking a break. The river Giri originates from here and is an important tributary of the Yamuna river. It drains a part of South-Eastern Himachal Pradesh. The Giri or Giriganga as it is famous in the Jubbal, Rohru hills it rises from Kuppar peak just above Jubbal town before flowing through the heart of Shimla hills.

These photos were taken on 14th January 2019. You can see the fresh snow on the road. The Giriganga road is covered with Deodar trees and the snow on them.

The distance of Giriganga Temple from Kharapathar is 5.2 km. It takes around 1hr 50 min. by foot to reach the temple but it take more time in winter. One can reach the temple by car or bike. It takes around 30 min.  But in winter if you want to drive in this road I suggest only heavy vehicles or 4x4 vehicles.

Kuppar Jubbal

From Giriganga road you can also see the Kuppar peak. The height of kuppar peak is around 3200 meters. The way of kuppar starts from Giriganga Temple.

Kharapathar

In winters Giriganga is a beautiful place to visit. All the trees are covered with snow. The path is covered with snow. It was all untouched. In Giriganga forest you can find many species of birds.


 It is great place to visit in winter. You can stay at Kharapathar. At kharapathar one can stay at "Giriganga Resort" by Himachal Tourism or can stay at Jubbal which is 15 km away from Kharapthar.

Giriganga came under SHILLI Panchayat JUBBAL KOTKHAI Block Shimla, Himachal Prades.  


Giriganga is 82 km away from the capital Shimla. Almost 3:30 hr rout by car.


Giriganga is beautiful place in tehsil Jubbal. You should visit this place once in your life.

This is the temple of Shedkuliya Maharaj at Raigy (Uttarakhand). You can visit this temple at Raigy, Tiuni, Chakrata, Uttarakhand, India - 248891. It is a very beautiful temple. The wooden work in the temple is fabulous. The location is great.  It is 8.9 km from Tuini (Uttarakhand), it takes around 30 minutes to reach the temple by car. The road is narrow so I suggest to drive slowly.  From temple location, you can see the village Bastil (Uttarakhand).  The temple environment is very peaceful.  The artwork on the temple's wall is fabulous.
